Malacca Trip (13th - 15th Jun 2008)

A long overdue post and I'm also kinda lazy to type too much. But anyway, the whole group of 10 of us left for Malacca on Friday the 13th!! Yipee... Rented a car from JB to drive up the N-S highway. But, the car has wheels that looked smaller than it should have been! So not fuel-efficient lea...

But anyways, we took a break by stopping over at Yong Peng to have dinner where we had the 西刀鱼丸面. After driving for almost 3 hours, we finally arrived at the Toll station in Malacca where Andrew came to pick us up to his house. His house was really big with 2 storey and cows roam the neighbourhood anyhow there.

Over the weekend, we just spend the time eating and eating every couple of hours. I swear I was so tired out by the eating sessions instead of the shopping and touring done there. We played 3-on-3 games outside Makota shopping centre even!

There was hell lotsa local food to try out there... chicken rice balls, chendol, bak kut teh, kueh tu tu, just to name some. And not forgetting the roadside stall selling mee rebus and rojak (the area was part of a graveyard).

I guess that's about it for this entry. The trip was tiring, but it was really fun, finally being able to try out the local dishes of Malacca. Many thanks to Andrew for being our tour guide, and hosting all of us at his house!
