what makes my day
it had been a really super tiring day. as tiring as the usual working days la, but in a different way. the weekdays are so boring cos there's so little customers tat u get so tired of being in that place and u feel very lethargic. it's like u're just there to let cobwebs grow on you (and u can become spiderman), really like spiderman (失败的 man) lor. u know? like those unsuccessful man, just rot on his couch the whole day and let cobwebs grow on him.
but today, it was tiring cos customers were flooding into Gain City non-stop and i kinda lost count of how much stuffs we sold today. got so busy entertaining all the customers tat by dinner time, i'm totally drained of all my energy.
sometimes a customer may come visit your booth, and you spend time & effort trying to persuade her that your product is the one that he/she should buy instead of your competitors', and after that they just leave the place (for wadeva reasons). den they return to you after a couple of hours telling you that "ok i want your product." this kind of feeling is good. BUT the most important thing is that it makes your day when customers actually tell you, "i came back to you because i like your service, even though your best price may exceed other that of other places by about $20."
yupz, this customer of mine today did just that. she listened to me for about 20 mins, and left for somewhere else, i guess her husband's friend's shop to compare prices for LCD TV and washing machine. in the end, she ordered the washing machine from the friend's shop, but came back all the way to look for me to tell me, "ok i want your LCD TV because i like your service." it really makes your day, no matter what other irritating stuffs have happened. how many promoters actually get this kind of comment from their customers? it's not the amount of sales that you can close that matters seriously, even though i agree it's somehow important too, or else u'll just get sacked!
why i'm saying all this is because i got so irritated that i feel that we, as temp promoters, just don't get recognised for our efforts. those people only think that their full time promoters can make it while we can't. so disgusted. especially that bleddy leon ng, who only knows how to say that we're not good and only knows how to ask us to make sure that all the flyers are given out. i'm not going to ensure that happens =) he can bring those flyers back, burn them himself and drink it down!
shall not let such a person spoil my good mood =)
on a good note, the next 3 working days are public holidays!!! yay.. double pay!! mwahaha.... i wonder wad's gg to happen tomorrow... are we going to watch fireworks? or are we going home after work? i heard that east coast park allows us to watch fireworks fired from the boats there! the boats will sound their horn and display fireworks. wonder how nice it would be.
