term break is ending....

the week seemed to fly past so quickly. it seems like just yesterday, i was having a headache on how i am going to complete my CA assignments. and now, they're almost done and the long awaited zoo trip finally took place yesterday.

thanks to everyone who made wadeva that happened this week, happen. anthony, crab club, zoo kakis and of cos everyone who chatted with on MSN! haha... gotta thank those who chatted with me on MSN every night, especially on Monday to Wednesday, cos i did nothing but chatting on MSN on these 3 nights. Of cos i did my work in the daytime lah. So without them, those 3 nights would have been boring. yep yep, pple like ks, sh, wx, cw, xine, sj, sw etc... HAHA the others were too busy, cannot msn with me :(

and oh yah, the 'Home' button on my keyboard jumped out the other night :( sadz... muz find time to have it replaced.

crab club's lunch outing at Kuishin Bo was great although the food wasn't as nice as that at Goodwood Park Hotel. but still, i ate till i almost fell aslp at the restaurant.

the zoo trip yesterday was tiring i tell u... woke up at 8, moved off at 9 and walked till 6pm when the zoo is almost closing for the day. the finale was the one everyone was waiting for, Ben & Jerry's ice cream. yum.

basically, we saw more than this lah... we watched 3 animal shows (that's why we could be in the zoo the whole day). we saw many small children too, in sch uniforms. reminds me of when i was like them, holding a piece of science worksheet, running about gathering answers from different parts of the zoo.

the zoo has changed quite abit though. the animal shows, i won't say that they suck. but they're not as good as what we watched in the past. and it was also my first time so close to a snake which is out of its enclosure. cos during the 2nd animal show that we watched, they took a python out from a box that was behind us. all the aunties were like running away from that area when the zookeeper said she was gonna take a snake out lolz.

anyway we ended the day with dinner @ this kopitiam at jurong west and went to jurong point to play some arcade games. oh and we saw this signboard at a grocery store on the way...

and wilfred went, "wenxin 迷死你 store" HAHA... wx, muz gif us free stuffs whenever we need to stock up foodstuffs in hall lei!

quite a tiring day but i still ended up slping so late. slept ard 3 plus, close to 4 i think, cos of somebody who hid my keys!! u know who u are!! wahaha... grr... kidding.

3 days of hard work...

it's been 3 days since the start of the term break and all 3 days were spent in SBS resource room trying to complete my 2 major CA assignments! that place has almost became my home simply because i've got my own spot everyday, i moved away the chairs and replaced them with sofas, and i take off my footwear and acts as if i'm really at home, my meals are almost always settle at the cafe by the quad. it's vv comfy and condusive there, for once... it's usu damn noisy during the normal sch days.

i can't say that i've completely completed all my assignments, but i can still at least tell myself that i've kept to my schedule!! yay *joy and celebrations* haha. i've finished the first round of both CA assignments already as in the essay is completed, just less the editting only. alright, next on my mind is my microbiology lab report, all thanks to Dr Peter.... grr.

so yeah, and thanks to anthony for helping me with all my doubts!! especially for biostatistics. really really grateful to you for all ur help! u're really god lei... tsk tsk tsk... anyway, dun so stress, u're rily doing fine too lah haiyoh...

anyway these 3 days can be said to be fruitful lah, i feel the load off my shoulders slightly lah, not completely. anyway look at the mess i always create when i study (tat's why i need the whole table to myself usually)

BS204 lecture this morning gave me a shock... cos i saw the number "2.22" again. i was like, "huh, why so coincidental one?"

anyway, sometimes i wish that pple will have more sense of urgency. pls wake up your idea and pls realise that time is really running out.

the time now is 2:22am... reminds me of the time when my EZ-link card had only $2.22 left and i went to top it up with another $20... and the total value became $22.22. haha, but that's out of the point. it's just that, it's been quite some time since i stayed up till so late.

sometimes i just wish that pple will juz come and talk to me personally instead of me having to find out what is happening, or can only guess what is happening. reminds me of a person telling me before that she doesn't want to get to know things only thru a middle person. for my case, i guess it's a medium(not a bomoh, but as in, thru means other than a living person)...

many things that were on my mind are still on my mind. sometimes i oso just wish that i could put certain things behind me. sometimes i may go overboard in doing some things and i don't rily know how to explain why also. (stomach growls). blarhz... i dunno wad i'm typing so pls pardon me. it's 2.43am mind you. long past my bedtime. (okay i think wad i typed doesn't make much sense, so juz ignore... i dun feel like deleting everything after i have typed so much oredi)

sorry cheewee, u ask me update blog, but i put up such an unhappy entry...

i seldom blog about unhappy stuffs... see the rectangular box at the top of my blog? it has this "pure escapism" mentioned there. and according to dictionary.com,

escapism (n) : the avoidance of reality by absorption of the mind in entertainment or in an imaginative situation, activity, etc.

so... yeah this blog usu contains only good entertainment for my readers and of cos myself and good entertainment to me means things that when being read (at least by myself), i find myself being brought back to happy times only (hence, pure escapism).

this reminds me of once when somebody asked why i very seldom rant about unhappy stuffs online and i didn't manage to find an answer to reply haha.

anyway i hope that nobody, while reading this entry, thinks that this entry is targeting towards him/her.

last quiz today finally!!

yay, finally went to swim after not swimming for 3 weeks (with the exception of inter-civ games)... the feeling was damn great when i went into the water. it was like suddenly there was no stress, no assignments, no nothing... just the clear water and the coolness (cos it rained earlier on)

after our swim, anthony & i went to nanyang mart to buy lots of junk food!! it's time i stock up on junk food in my room oredi and i finally got my Ruffles!! we then went to the art, design & media school to roam about.

we got lost inside, wondering how to get out from the other side of the building (we entered from the quadrangle side). and i finally realised that we had to take the lift up one floor in order to exit from the other side. so duh.

after which, came online to jio pple for dinner and shuwan wanted to interview anthony and i... thru msn... and look at how she asked... i got quite a shock when she asked that.

yeah.. she wanted to ask if i was BUSY instead of BUSTY lah.. hahaha but at that point, i didn't think of that, so i was in a state of shock that shuwan actually asked smth like tat...

alright, going for dinner soon at Hall 11 canteen, cos we heard that the western food stall, Burnz, has moved there!! yummy...

as i was msn-ing with my cousin earlier on, i said my 口头禅 "slap ur face"

this reminded me suddenly of smth that happened yesterday morning while i was having my mcdonald's breakfast at amk central (YES, the breakfast that roland pang-sehed me)

the manager was busy planning some duty roster thing, and one of his employees couldn't find his wallet, wic he put inside the office.

employee: 老板, 我的钱包不见...
supervisor: *walks to the office to help him find and he found it*
employee: *gladly takes his wallet from his supervisor*
supervisor: it's in there wad! slap ur face arh, disturb disturb...

wahaha, that "slap ur face arh" phrase immediately caught my attention lah... why is he so like me hahahahaha

invigilation @ SNGS

i discovered that invigilation wasn't that difficult at all.... and most importantly, my chinese is still not as sucky as i thought it would be hahaha!!

anyway, i woke up quite late actually.... was supposed to meet roland for bfast at amk macs? BUT... BUT.... HE HIMSELF DIDN'T TURN UP!!! wah liew... make me take cab rush down juz so that i won't be late can... haiz.... how can like tat sia.... and the cab i took was a merc cab lah. the stupid meter starts from $3.00 can. omg.

nvm, reached St.Nicholas Girls' School just to find out that i have to enter from the other entrance at Ave. 3, and luckily i met jasmine there, and her dad oso lompang me there. phew. or else gotta walk like nobody's business.

alrighty, so... let's see, at the control room, things were going on very slowly and they weren't keeping to the time! the students were like all in the classroom oredi and the centre IC is still distributing the papers and CDs to us, and we still gotta count the number to make sure everything is correct.

Invigilator Pass - 主考 lei HAHA...

and worse, i had a hard time finding my classroom, but luckily i still found it haha... and wasn't rily late at all. so, i had to brief my invigilator (his name's winson, from singapore poly) on what to do and sign the handing/taking over form for the exam scripts etc... checking their attendances, took up quite some time, but we were both efficient lah. in the end, we still gotta wait like 20mins before the clock striked 9.30am so that we could start.

so during the waiting time, the girls there were like in their playful mode... wah run here and there, machiam primary sch kids, smiling, talking to us... blah blah blah... oh! and i forgot to mention, the classroom i was in is my cousin's form class! hmm haha 2 Hope... lolz yeah, and i was like looking at their works pasted on the wall... apparently, she was taking the exam today too but was in another classroom.

ok, so 9.30 came and i started giving out instructions... and started with the listening comprehension test (man, it was boring okay, 50 qns for this section).

i learnt from it (the listening compre) that cockroaches won't die that easily! u chop off its head, it still lives for days to weeks and can even copulate and reproduce! cockroaches originated from N. Africa, and spreaded around the world by boarding some ships that are going around the world? haha.... and that little girl at the right corner of the classroom was trying to peep at her fren's answer, but caught me staring at her.... tsk tsk... bad girl.

the time crawled very slowly for the other remaining 3 sections of the exam, and the exam seems vv simple cos everyone finished vv early and fell aslp while waiting for the next section to begin. and some of them were like, staring at me non-stop, waiting for me to announce the time haha...

and when the final moment came... it was damn funny... i was supposed to end the paper at 12.12pm, and the time was like 12.10pm.......... 12.11pm....... and everyone were like staring at me hoping that i would open my golden mouth haha! AND when i opened my mouth to say "ok.....", i haven't finished saying my sentence! ALL OF THEM started cheering and clapping their hands hahaha... and that was the first time i actually laughed along with them haha.. haiz invigilator lah, cannot keep smiling at them or else they will take u for granted.

Winson and i were like... "hmm shall we take a class photo with them after the paper ends?" haha... but, in the end, we were like "aiyah, 算了" haha... but this class was a vv interesting class lah, playful but not to the extent of being naughty and uncontrollable.

in the whole process, there was one thing i had to do too... i had to record down any occurences that took place during the examination. okay, so there was 2 incidences...

1) this girl who raised her hand and with everyone sitting around her laughing. i was like "huh? wad's so farnie..." so i went over, and....

girl: "我是从台湾来的，可是我的准考证上说我是中国来的。。。怎么办?"
me: "...... ...... (laughters from everywhere in the class still ongoing) .... ......... ...."
girl: *staring at me still*
me: "ok 没关系, 你就在答卷上先写中国, 我会把这件事记录下来...."

2) there was this girl who oso totally didn't turn up for the test... this incident is nothing funny.

back to the first incident, i was recording down the nationality mistake made but... shit, i dunno how to write the 湾...... had to leave it till i report back to the control room and ask for help haha...

some girls also had interesting names.... there's this one "Lin Jie Kai Ethel" and another "Genin" and i was like... hmm genin? Genin refers to rookie ninjas in the anime "Naruto" HAHA.... i only rmb this 2, couldn't rmb the rest...

yeah, so the day ended juz like that, with us submitting back everything to the Centre IC and collecting our pay... $60 lei can watch movie hahaha... and we went to take some photos, but most of the photos are not with me.. but i have this one...

and i realised that i'm one of the few male Main Invigilators... the rest were all females! muahaha.... tsk tsk tsk.... calibre too high to be juz invigilator, so they let me be main invigilator... hahahaa!! kidding...

later in the evening, i had dinner with my family to celebrate my sis's 21st bday tmr.... Happy 21st !! auntie liao!! obasan HAHA... yeah, but that's another story, for another time.....

invigilation briefing

haiz, it's like i juz reached home from the briefing for the invigilation job tmr.... the briefing was like super long and boring! let me tell u why.....

nobody told us it is gonna be a chinese-based examination. it is a mandarin TOEFL test... something like the SAT that we took during our JC days. and the person briefing us on what is expected tmr had to speak in mandarin. oh my god, how boring is that.... i mean, couldn't she do it in english cos it's like so much easier to understand and process what she means lah..

and most of us were like so switched off after quite some time.... almost felt like falling aslp.

oh and chrissy, rl and i were imagining u taking this paper in ur St. Nicks uniform hahaha!!! chinese paper... lolz

when she finished her briefing, the coordinator came up and announced that we had to wait for awhile more before we can go because "something unfortunate happened and the police are here..." tat's exactly wad she said... she sounded like something freaky happened lah! like some murder case or wad.

but then it turned out that a malay girl lost her Dopod somewhere and the police came in to search our bags and took up quite some time..

alright, here comes the interesting part of the whole thing... back in hall before we left for the briefing, had a conversation with roland..

me: eh i hope i can be chief invigilator, so i only need to keep track of time and give instructions

rl: yah u wait long long oso don't have lor...

ok so we happily left for the briefing shortly after that, and when we reached there, i picked up the folder with my name on it.. and it says Main Invigilator. i looked at roland's and shujing's.. theirs said Invigilator only... i was like... "roland!!! i chief invigilator lei!!!!"

but den after awhile the joy disappeared when i realised it's a chinese-based exam and i gotta give all instructions in mandarin!! i was like "wad the hell!!! i don't want!!" cos i hate speaking and giving instructions in chinese.... haiz... but no choice...

actually abit the regret i took up the job lei... cos i forgot that i have a quiz on Monday and i still haven touched on it yet. and i oso got a dinner to attend on saturday evening.. haiz...

alright, i gotta go rest now, gotta report for work at 7.50am tml... tiredz.....

a very bad day...

okay, today has been a rily rily bad day for me...

1) BS204 quiz was supposed to be @ 1030am... and i happily thought it was 0830am and i woke up so early just to find myself feeling so slpy and tired for the rest of the day. and i even happily woke horfun up from her slp at 0730? blarhz...

2) BS204 quiz was a killer.... enuff said.

3) BS205 lab was freaking shitty... i didn't understand a single shit and i was so freaking pissed off, not with anyone, but myself cos i always seem to be the one who doesn't understand this and that and i was like a goondu sitting in the com lab. and even had to make anthony stay back so late just to explain those stuffs to me (and i can't be sure if i actually understood correctly not)... i can't believe i used to like stats in jc.. and now... haiz

4) dear cheewee fell sick tsk tsk ... so it's a bad day too... (tsk, make me cannot eat my mcdonald's haha kidding...) take care hor!

5) realised that from today till monday i'd have so many things to do. BS203 tutorial, BS201 tutorial, and i gotta study for BS201 quiz, wic is on monday, too. and saturday i've an invigilation job to do at St. Nicholas' Girls Sch... (anthony, my ancestors rily founded this sch. SNGs mah)

haiz... black thursday, it is... it is...

swimming and waterpolo

had my first ever saturday lesson in NTU today man.... BS205 Biostatistics... din rily understand wad kc lun was talking about and on top of that, i was like half asleep even though i slept early last nite... why huh?? sianz...

went to the swimming pool at src after that for inter-civilisation games swimming & waterpolo. i swam for Atlantis!! woohoo... i dun wanna be a Valusian!! lolz... but we came in 2nd after Hyboria. but still well done guys!

had my first taste of waterpolo today. it was quite fun initially, and getting to score my very first goal in water-polo today, enjoyed it for awhile. but after awhile, i realised i've had been treading water for like sooo super long, and i was starting to feel tired. very tired.... and just when i thought the game has ended, someone suddenly said, "alright guys, we're starting soon, get back to ur positions..." my world came crashing down! HAHA.. no lah not so serious, just sian diao. and in this round, hengkia (one of the regular IHG polo players) was tackling me for the ball and i think he pushed too hard for me to take it and my muscles in my left calf tensed up and ta-dahhhh cramp!!! cramp in the middle of a 4.0m deep pool omg.... luckily still got strength to push myself to the wall haha. overall it was quite fun, but i dun think waterpolo is a game for me still.

lunched at canteen 2 with christine, shuwan, jarren and captain mike... and took a cab home after tat. luckily we could share a cab, or else i think that stupid left leg won't be able to tahan the long journey back home. it still kinda hurts rite now lolz... too much influx of calcium ions to cause the muscle constriction? anthogod, correct ma? HAHAA....

alright, time for some serious studying liao!!! caddie and christine, dun pang seh me for the zoo trip hor!!!! muz wait for me!!! stupid christine, look down on me no car to bring u all go zoo... bish!

we saw this girl, trying to enter the Lecture Theatre. and the door handle has this sign that says 'PULL'

the girl was happily trying to push the door open... so as we were walking past....

me: "eh shld be pull lah!" (actually i din expect myself to say it out so loud)

as the girl realised she shld be pulling the handle instead.............

back from D&D.... Old Shanghai Glam

okie! i'm back from D&D... got tons of photos to put up. haha, no nid to slp liao. gonna be a long entry i guess.

anyway overall, it was quite okay lah. reached the cable car station quite early as we took a cab down directly so we took some pictures first before going up.

we went to take the lift up to the 15th floor at the right timing to watch the sunset from the glass elevator! there were 5 of us (wilfred, shujing, caddie, christine and i) and we were like playing with the elevator, going all the way up, den all the way down repeatedly just to take photos with the sunset haha! luckily nobody else wanted to use the elevator.

ok actually got ppl wanna take the elevator haha, so he offered to help us take a group picture. nice sunset behind...

my first ever cable car ride! finally... but it was quite stuffy inside the cable car. i wonder how those ppl could enjoy their meals inside there. it was quite fun initially, with the adrenaline rushing in as the cable car accelerated out of the station, den it started to move soooo slowly till we got quite bored becos we took it from harbourfront, to sentosa, back to harbourfront and then towards Mt Faber. so guess how bored the 5 of us were after we finished taking the photos we wanted to take.

alright wad else, hmm the place where the function was held was called "The Jewel Box". the programme segments were quite okay, watching the pageant contestants displaying all their talents. but the food was quite miserable i guess (maybe the committee spent too much money on booking the place liao) and i'm feeling quite hungry right now.

the emcee for the night was justin ang from Perfect 10!! cool guy he is... and when he asked for couples, roland wong had to act BBM with me in front of the emcee... thanks hor haha... halfway thru the programme, i got quite bored and went out for a breather. feeling quite sian and bored, i got myself a glass of red wine and it tasted soooo bitter although it got quite okay after awhile. christine and caddie came along and they were drinking too (3 bored pple drinking away). and in the end, made ourselves quite cannot make it as we started feeling groggy. our worlds were almost beginning to spin haha!

and congrats to darren and elyn, our new Hall King and Queen.

only a few of us are back in hall now... yupz. was supposed to direct the coach driver, but ended up falling aslp in front. luckily i told him to enter from jalan bahar beforehand haha.

OH AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE PRIZE!!!! i'm quite disappointed.... i did not win the first prize. and worse still, i din win the second prize. i won the THIRD prize!! omg.. relegated from last yr when i got SECOND prize?? sadz... hahahaa!! kidding!!! i'm quite surprised actually that my ticket stub was picked!! lolz let's see, it's CK Tangs vouchers inside, 4 x $20 and 2 x $10... that makes it $100 worth of vouchers in it! let's go shopping! so all those who wanna shop, bring all ur vouchers along oso!! haha can all go shop together! maybe buy clothes for next year's D&D? haa kidding!
