damn, sch's reopening....
Hall FOC ended last night... guess most of the freshies had enjoyed themselves this whole week since it is filled with so much wonderful programmes lined up for them.
for me, i dunno if i can say that i had rily enjoyed the camp or not. most of the time during the day, i was just like a lone ranger (especially speedy race on the 2nd day)... walking from kallang basin all the way to cavanagh bridge on my own and back to areas around esplanade. and worse still, many things had happened before this whole camp. i simply just wasn't feeling great the whole week at all. but at least i had Xena eating dinner with me that night even though we had to rush thru dinner. got to know some freshies there and 2 of them, Jessica and James, they were my freshies from BS Camp.
but still, running around with a camera and a videocam and lots of spare tapes and batteries in the day, sitting in front of the computer thru the nite with Wenxin and Seth editing the videos, all these were tough times but they were fun. got to work with ppl whom i seldom get to interact with during normal days.
here are some of the few pictures that i have...
rushing to edit the last two days of footages was the worst. almost couldn't come up with it. and to make it worse, ppl out there were not encouraging the pnp (publicity n publications) committee. all they did was to tell us if we can't make it, den dun bother about the last day footages. but perseverance saw us thru i guess... we managed to put in a little of the last day footages in the end. but still quite sad that they didn't want us to show the video for day 2 since they think that there's not enough time.
and when the video that we did was broadcasted during the closing ceremony, seeing that everyone enjoyed the video, there was a great sense of satisfaction at the end of it. now i understand what wilfred means. those late nights, sleeping only at 6am and having to wake up at 9 plus was still worth it i guess. it felt kinda great when the freshies cheered for the pnp subcomm... yup.
well, the end of Hall FOC marks the beginning of a new academic semester. i can't say that i'm ready for sch to start again. wad i mean is that i know i have not wasted the holidays as i had not wasted my time.... learning new things at work, got to know new friends thru the orientation camps, doing things that i thought i could only dream of it happening but still, i think it's too short this holiday.
things are always going the opposite direction from what i want them to be like.
