What an alternative ending for Little Nyonya...

I think MediaCorp tried a little too hard, but not enough. What was that 5 minutes of Little Nyonya for? Just to thank people for giving their show the highest number of viewership? Or to create a even higher number for a 5-minute clip? I think they should have just let it be, let the emo ending stayed. At least, it'd have left a deep impression in my mind. Actually this 5 minutes clip did leave a deep impression too, but for all the wrong reasons.

But then again, it was good to see Yueniang (the character played by Jeanette Aw) once again :D

Tomorrow is Monday once again... but then again, everyday seems the same to me because I go to lab even on Sat and Sun! Urgh. No wonder people get so scared of lab life after their FYP ended, and thus many don't carry on working in this field thinking life would be really like that week after week after week.....

Anyway here's the new Visa World Currency advertisement... Posted it on Facebook already, but then I still have many friends who don't use Facebook! So I have to share it here lolx...



And Visa most probably got the inspiration for this video from Matt Harding's other videos that he made himself and posted on YouTube... like this one.. titled "Where the hell is Matt?"

The Little Nyonya

The Little Nyonya has just ended its 34-episodes long run earlier. Hmm... quite an emo ending I personally feel, albeit a meaningful one. It's one of the rare MediaCorp dramas that had me having this 依依不舍 kind of feeling towards the show. And of course not to mention, no more Jeanette Aw to rush home for. Haha, yeah she's one of the motivations for me to end work early and go home to watch the show.

Mmm... I must say I really enjoyed this particular drama and I love it deep deep. Of course there are many loopholes spotted in the show, but well, we should appreciate the effort by the producers right? C'mon, if you ain't happy with the way the show is made and just 不爽 that the show is soooo popular, why don't you come up with a masterpiece yourself and show it to the world. Don't know what's wrong with some people that criticize others who follow the show religiously.

Okay next up.... my dad just gave me the next mission order... to organise a Peranakan meal outing for the family! Only Vivocity's Nyonya & Baba and Chilli Padi @ North Bridge Road are in my mind... most probably Chilli Padi it shall be ^^ Shall see how. If anyone has better suggestions, do drop me a SMS or, of course, drop me a message here! :D

Happy New Year :D

Happy New Year everyone!! Happy 2009 :D Although the last couple of weeks was horrible and full of disappointments, it's a brand new year today!!! And I'm gonna start it off good! No more having headaches over things that is not within my control anymore. 2009 is gonna be my good year!

First, I guess I have a new set of New Year resolution this year (not that I have one every year). And I hope that this set of resolution would guide me towards improving things at home and that this horrid period would tide over soon, and that everyone at home would be happy once again! FYP has started, and I also have spent very little time at home. Even if I am, work still goes on. This New Year holiday really meant a lot to me for once, I don't have to sacrifice the break to return to lab, and I can really spend time at home.

Second, I really sincerely hope that things would be much much much better for my friends whom I have really seem to have lost contact with, like the Hall 12 peeps. I do miss my Hall 12 days a lot and I guess not staying (or being able to stay) in Hall anymore kind of robbed me of some of the closest bonds I have fostered during the first two years of my undergrad life. But still, all the best to my friends who are about to embark on their final semester soon. And to my juniors in Hall 12, enjoy and cherish your days in Hall :D

Third, to all my coursemates in SBS, jiayou for FYP!!! It's tough, but hang in there... our seniors have all gone through it, so can we :D We are already at the final hurdle. No more mugging like madness anymore. And hope that you all can get a job or PhD. studies soon :)

Really been busy at home these 2 or 3 weeks because there is a major overhaul of my home to prepare for both CNY and an impending event that would take place in February.. wooohoo~ And as of today, I can proudly say that 3/4 of the overhaul is completed. Left with just the teeny weeny bits to clear up still. Really hope that it can be done by this weekend!

Okay back to finishing off some work stuffs and off to bed... WORK TOMORROW AGAIN!! If I were still in Sweden, it'd be a holiday tomorrow still. But never mind, I'm in love with FYP :D
