this key........

any idea what it means when u've to get this bunch of keys? or rather, just this key since it's only one key.

it means u got locked out of your room by your dear roomie once again. it's so troublesome to have to walk all the way to the hall office to get this key so that u can enter your own room again, especially when it's raining and u gotta walk by a longer route so that u dun get wet by the time u reach the hall office. zzzz...

时间过得好快喔。。。

在我的家里吃团圆饭的事，就好像是好久以前的事了。真怀念能和我全家的人聚在一起吃饭，聊天，打麻将的那些日子， 还有大家一起出去玩，一起去看戏。 转眼间，过年的日子就快要过去了，即使是还有八天，那种欢乐的感觉已经渐渐的消失了。真的好怀念。。。真的是有一种好空虚，好空虚的感觉喔。 sighz。。。

很快的，我们的 1-week study break 又来了。可是我觉得我呢，可能会把自己弄得更累。为什么呢？因为 D&D 咯，还有我那一大堆的 revision 要做。真伤心。 可是呢，我也没办法啊。。。 觉得好懊恼喔，有这么多是要做，却没什么时间似的。人人都说要有好的 time management 啊，真的是说得容易，想要做起来，难咯！

今天是正月初七 - 是人日。祝大家生日快乐，大家又老一岁了。。。哈哈！

cny happenings

arrr two days of the lunar new year holiday is over so quickly (not that i expected them to pass very slowly). and it's oredi the wee hours of the last day of the new year holidays now.

my collection of ang pows this year is pathetically little. partly because some of my maternal relatives are like away on a cruise or something - they ALWAYS go on a cruise. zzz... guess i won't get to see them this year since i won't be free to be visiting them in the near future.

first day of the lunar new year - as usual, visiting my grandma etc etc.... but this year is special. all my cousins came over to my hse to play mahjong after dinner at grandma's! they seem sooo hooked on the game -___- kinda amazing, cos initially none of them (except my aussie cousin) knows how to play but now, they keep wanting to play -___- this is bad. i muz rescue them from becoming as though they live for mahjong LOL....

but here's a picture... i think my room has become a gambling den -___-

Day 2 of the lunar new year.... met up with everyone again for dim sum lunch at thomson plaza. but we had to wait for everyone to turn up at the bus interchange. hence we waited and waited until we decided to start taking photos again...

the food is quite okay actually and the dessert is rily very good.... awww... it's coconut husk filled with buloh hitam, jellies and ice cream! and it's chilled - the whole thing and it looks something like this:

and it has those mini coloured tadpoles inside!! those jelly-like thingy...

P/S: shuwan, wad are u doing inside the dessert?? HAHA!!

reunion dinner

happy lunar new year to everyone!!! hope you guys will have a great year ahead =)

had a family reunion dinner in my home earlier and it was great!! everyone came to my hse, and my hse was like so filled with people, and of cos food and wine!!

really had a great time, entertaining my cousins with mahjong and also teaching those that who don't have a single idea of how the game goes. and i'm proud to say that i am a good 师傅 cos those who did not have the slightest idea of how to play mahjong, managed to play on their own, managing to arranged their tiles till they are just waiting for the winning tile. HAHA

and my cousin made a very nice rose for valentine's day!! smells very nice too haha...

gonna have a super long day tml once again... it's the same every year... seems to be quite a routine oredi. even the order of visitings is the same every year -____-

and a few days back, had a cny reunion dinner with hall 12. the food was wonderful, especially the cereal-prawn dish. the fish was great too since i'm a fish-lover. ironically, the crab wasn't very fantastic when most of us are actually going because of the crab.

the trip to the restaurant that day was horrendously long. it took like forever and most of us were like hungry to the max already. started playing childhood games with siting, who was sitting beside me... and after 10 mins or so, another grp oso started playing among themselves. somehow i did wish i was with that grp. BUT, the return trip was better! had lotsa fun taking pictures and singing songs on the bus. and back at hall, the celebration of ben's bday went quite wrong cos ben was so drunk that he fell aslp in the toilet -___- and i dun rily like drinking so much hard liquor i guess... always having to wake up the next morning having a slight headache and not being able to concentrate in class. zzz...

shopping done... finally

i finally finished shopping for my CNY clothes today... went to jurong point after lab today with wei tzer and weibin.... and i got this very nice pair of Levi's shoes (at least i do think it's nice) for less than $60.... after which i got a new belt and another shirt from man master. yupz so i can finally not think about having to find time for shopping for my CNY clothes anymore.

and wei tzer bought this damn nice Seiko watch for $180.... i'm actually quite in love with that watch lea.... arghh if i didn't have a watch now, i'd have bought it if he didn't want it man.. arghhh

didn't understand today's lecture at all =( blarz....

and i saw this vv attractive girl on the bus earlier when i was gg to jurong point.... and it's very obvious which sch she is from hahaha...

will be having CNY dinner at kallang (is it kallang? i can't rmb) later with hall 12.... hope the food is good =)

friendship day

happy friendship/valentine's day everyone!!

although it seems to be just an ordinary day to me, it's still a very special day... cos i know i would surely get to eat Royce chocolates!! and wad made it more special was that, i got to eat home-made tiramisu cake as well!! it was superb. i'm gonna learn how to make that next =)

wad seemed to be a short day, turned out to be a long day as we spent the whole morning and half the afternoon in school rushing our lab reports and other assignments since we didn't want to carry them over to the coming new year. well, it's almost done =) everyone can enjoy their holidays and tat's a good thing =)

came back to hall feeling very tired out with a slight headache. however something made me smile... saw something on my table and realised that i've received a mini card from emy (my pet name for emily) and yepz, tat made my day too. thanks emy!

had a chit-chat session too in my room over dinner with wenxin, shuwan, and wilfred (where all the gossips will originate from)... the pizza was not too bad... quite yummy actually, but it's too expensive for me to eat it too frequently haha...

so a few things made my day HAHA... the chocolate (or Royce chocolate i shld say), the tiramisu cake, emy's card, and the chit-chat session to catch up with each other haha... feeling so blessed that i have so many good friends around me.... thanks weitzer, isaac, emy, wenxin, shuwan, and wilfreddddddooooo...

cousins outing....

it had been a great day today, spending the evening out with my cousins. at least it did relieve me of my stress for awhile. only when i reached home, and saw the pile of paper on my desk did the stress return again. gross.

it was a great outing because all the 'children', as we are always being referred to by our elders, were out together having fun. my two sisters, my 3 cousins from my youngest uncle side, and of cos my aussie cousin... all of us, dinner outing at cafe cartel in cineleisure, neoprints taking at heerens, and movie at plaza singapura.

the movie "Miss Potter" is really a very good movie i feel. although it didn't really occur to me that it is a very nice show initially, the show turned out to be very interesting and touching. it's basically a biography of the author named Beatrix Potter (starred by Renee Zellweger) and the show started off with a very memorable phrase, "The first words of a story is special, because you never know where it will bring you. Mine brought me here.", and the show also ended with the exact same phrase. i recommend this show =)

anyway, along the way, met this bunch of people wearing the NTU Visual Arts Society shirt, setting up a booth along orchard road. and i saw Lan Pei there too! they were selling roses for Hall 8. kena forced by Lan Pei to donate money -___-. so i donated, but i wanted a stalk of rose each for everyone of us, except for me and my male cousin, malcolm, of course. HAHA....

yeah, so that concludes my saturday out with my cousins. most probably would be having another next saturday, afterwhich we'll head for our reunion dinner straight!

chivas galore...

bbrrrrr... it's been a freaking cold week (or has it been more than one month oredi?) hall 12 was cold, and now hougang is oso cold.

the past 2 nites (kangli and jieming's birthdays), i had chivas. the first nite, i was abit seh... 2nd nite still okay but wx says i was seh-ed... which i don't think so lea.... and to my horror, i stepped into my house to see another bottle of chivas lying on the table!!! argh, i can't believe my dad oso bought chivas!!

i'm gonna be so chivas-fied...
